It’s just so crazy to me. I grew up with this family. The way he winded up in the hospital makes me so sad. He was at the community pool with his gran kids racing back home. He was running backwards, tripped on something and was knocked unconscious. What makes me so sad is that Landon, Matthew, and Aileen were the ones who had to see that then run home and tell Julie (his wife) that their grandpa fell and isn’t getting up. He had to be rushed to the hospital and is now in a coma. This man in a way helped raise me. Nancy and me would always be ober at their house or his daughters would always be at our house. My dad and him are best friends. They’d always be chillin, hanging out while nancy, dani, gaby, vane, and me all played. That neighborhood was our playground. They’d take us on hikes. I remember this one time I was taking out the trash at night and I saw this enormous tarantula! I screamed you head off and ran inside to tell my dad. Celso only lived on the next street over. My dad called him over and the tocayo Carlos to help him kill it. They said it was a jumping spider or jumping tarantula. Idk what the hell it was and could care less as long as it didn’t eat me lol. I was 7 or 8 for Pete sakes! Haha. Well they killed it and lit it on fire. They had fun in other words. Celso has always called my dad Charlie (English for Carlos) it’s cute. My grandparents also lived in the same neighborhood so he’d always take him fruits from his backyard. They had this fig tree. Omg they were so delicious during season. Us as kids would always climb the tree and pull them down for our dad and Celso. It was awesome. I get sad seeing my dad and the way he reacts to whatever news we get. Point is, he’s such a sweet, genuinely caring man. It’s too soon to see him go. Tonight me and my family will say a prayer for him to get better. And I hope you do too to whoever decides to read this.
